So, I return from Birka a week ago to find a package at the post office. A surging wave of good fortune had broken upon the strewn wreck of what had remained of good planning and the result was a new-to-me camera. Now, this little gem isn't a point 'n' shoot. The manual is over 380 pages.
Finally, this evening, I took it out into the cold, cold world to discover two things:
1) when my hands get cold, the bone breaks hurt as much as they did when first broken; and
2) there actually is something this camera can do that my previous one simply could not.
The photo is moonrise. The distortions (both shape and edge colour) are due to various layers of air. More to come as I learn more about how to wring goodness out this new tech!
