[This dream is inspired by a song in a musical I saw in London called Billy Elliot. One of the songs just really seemed to fit with Zuko, so I’m bringing a little of what I saw during my trip into Somarium as well!]
“Oh? What’s this?” … Uncle Iroh was only supposed to be coming to visit for just a moment. What was he doing going through the young prince’s belongings already? Zuko was much younger here then he was in his previous dream. He couldn’t have been over ten years old. The boy rolled his eyes slightly and looked over his shoulder to see what his prying uncle had discovered.
… The old general held a small, rolled up piece of paper in his hands. Oh no… He should have remembered to put that away as soon as he was done reading it.
“It’s a letter.” Zuko said, and looked back down at the calligraphy that his tutor had ordered him to complete by the next day. The red wax seal that held the scroll together had long since broken, but his uncle should have known that…
“A letter?” His uncle questioned… That constant flicking of his eyes from the paper, back up to his pint-sized nephew made it really clear what he wanted, even to a child. Zuko’s shoulders slumped as he heaved out a sigh as he put his calligraphy pen down. If he wanted to so badly, his uncle should’ve just asked.
“You can open it if you want.”
“Thank Agni, the suspense was killing me.” Was he enjoying this? He was enjoying this, wasn’t he?
“It’s from my Mom.”
Uncle Iroh was halfway through unrolling the scroll when he stopped dead.
“…Your Mother?” Zuko had rarely ever seen Iroh so taken aback. After all, he was Zuko’s almost eternally cheerful uncle. He didn’t understand how he could still continue to be that way after what happened to his son… He’d never ask about it though.
“She wrote it for when I turned eighteen.” Zuko looked to the side, and then smiled slightly sheepishly. “’Cept I couldn’t wait.”
“I see…” Iroh glanced down at the paper one last time, before lowering it, as if he was going to put it back again. Usually, that would make Zuko glad, since he didn’t really want someone like Azula, or his father seeing it, but…
“You can read it if you want.” His uncle was different. His mom hadn’t told anyone else about the letter… Zuko was the only one who knew about it for the longest time. Maybe it would help to show it to someone, especially Uncle Iroh. Iroh picked the letter up again, and gave Zuko a glance, trying to make sure if he was really sure. “Read it.”
“Dear Zuko. I must seem like a distant memory…” The old general hesitantly read out loud.
“Which is?” The young prince asked. His uncle glanced up at him sadly for a moment, realizing just how much this letter meant to his nephew, just by his reply. He wasn’t even looking at the paper, but he knew exactly what it said.
“Which is probably a good thing.” Iroh finished. “And it will have been a long-“ The words caught in his uncle’s throat. Was it hard for him to read it? Zuko didn’t want to make him sad…
“Long time.” The boy finished for him.
And suddenly, Zuko wasn’t speaking anymore… he was singing?!
“And I will have missed you growing, and I’ll have missed you crying, and I’ll have missed you laugh. Missed your stomping and your shouting. I’ll have missed telling you off, but please Zuko, know that I was always there. I was with you through everything.”
“But please, Zuko…” The boy trailed off, looking down at the floor. A distant look had been slowly building in his eyes, to the point where he could almost hear his mother really saying these words to him… However, his head shot back up when he realized that his uncle’s voice had also joined in.
“But please Zuko, know that I will always be proud to have known you. Proud that you were mine, proud in everything, but you must promise me this, Zuko. In everything you do, always be yourself, and you always will be true.”
“Love you forever,”
“-Mom.”
[Here's the melody if you wish to hear it ^^. Just imagine Mrs Wilkonson being sung by a male part instead of a female one.]

Weird... He had never heard any melody sounding like that before in his life. What if his mom really had left him something like that?
Zuko's thoughts were interrupted when he looked over to his Dreamberry for a moment to see some strange card sitting right beside of it. Wait... That creepy ghost... thing... wasn't kidding?! He really was able to get a key out of the city just by dreaming?
... Ah whatever! However he got the thing, now he had a way to get out of the city. Of course, he hadn't forgotten his wager with that red haired hot-head, Heat. He started fiddling around with his Dreamberry, that he still really didn't understand at all, and he was trying to find out how to call someone... Huh?! Every time he tried to call Heat, as he had seen others do on their Dreamberries before, it didn't even start ringing him! For some reason his name was grayed out too. Had the guy backed out of their challenge or something?
