The US Department of Health and Human Services-Office on Women's Health is recruiting young women 16-18 years old, who share a concern about preventing HIV and STD infections, are leaders, and have a network of friends, to attend the Pass It Forward Teen Summit.
One in four young women between the ages of 14 and 19 or 3.2 million is infected with at least one STD.
Each year in the U.S., African Americans account for at least 25,000 new cases of HIV infection.
