Pagan service scheduled at Davies Memorial

A pagan Lenten service is scheduled to be held from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at Davies Memorial Unitarian Universalist Church, 7400 Temple Hill Road in Camp Springs.

Families are welcome to attend the service, which will highlight earth-based traditions of the lent⁄pre-spring season.

People of all religious backgrounds are encouraged to attend. There is no charge.

Black History Month walk scheduled for Feb. 16

The Freestate Happy Wanderers will host 5-kilometer and 11-kilometer walks in honor of Black History Month.

The trail will go through the campus of Bowie State University.

Walkers can begin between 9 a.m. and noon and will finish by 3 p.m. on Feb. 16.

Share the gift of song with a sweetheart in February

The Prince George’s County Publick Playhouse for the Performing Arts invites the community to the ‘‘Songs America Loves” Valentine Concert performance of the Prince George’s Choral Society, 8 p.m. Feb. 9 at 5445 Landover Road, Cheverly.

Ron Freeman will direct the Prince George’s Choral Society concert, which will feature Broadway show tunes and guest solos. Regular admission is $12 and $10 for seniors and students.
