I took a mini vacation from the land of journaling, but I am quite sure I was not terribly missed.

I have spent the last few days denying allegations that I had called the people of America, simple, and that Mary had called Danes, slow, in an interview with Point de Vue magazine, where my uncle interviewed Mary and I upon our engagement. It all came down to a simple error in translation. I had meant to say, Americans weren't always sophisticated, apparently a word that does not translate well in French, and Mary had meant to say Danes we're essentially laid back, also I suppose a word that does not translate well.

The more I think about it, the more I think Mary wants this royal life. She likes protocol and tiaras and the rules that go along with it. I do not doubt that she loves me, but I am sure she has a strong love the lifestyle as well. Perhaps, this means she will make a good princess and eventual Queen. The months leading up to the wedding, this coming May, Mary will be taking a crash course in Danish history, something very useful for a future Queen I should think.

I'm very glad to see Claire is having fun with her life, and that she is happy. The precious time I spent with her I thought of her has a free spirit, and it would be a waste to confine her within the ridiculous but necessary restrictions a royal life imposes.

I do not think I should update for a while. Things are going to start to become very hectic.

My best with you all.
