Hate Me, Blue October
Alright, I suppose it's about due for an update on this ol' blog. *nods a bit* Although, dissapointingly, anything I would otherwise have to report is unprintable due to the controversial subject matter... *ponders a bit* I tell ya, I'm almost tempted to die soon just so you fuckers can finally read a real account of what's goin' on... Almost.
But, just to bring things down a notch or two, I'd like to bring up a bit of unpleasentness in light of recent events in our fair nation.
I'm certain we've all heard of the overly unfortunate, and ultimately unnecessary shooting recently by one Kimveer Gill. *shakes head a lot* Thanks to the sensationalist media covering this occourance, there are a great many people out there pointing fingers, laying blame, and blanketing groups of people for behavioural issues that could only be attributed to the singularily twisted and under-developed morality of one individual.
There are cries for blood on the alternative community... Goth, metalhead, even the Emo crowd is catching flak for this heinous fuckbag's actions... It is assumed by the populace at large that music, videogames, and particular web-based communities are responsible for this atrocity... and so the flames are fanned by ignorance and fear... The very things the enemies of order utilize to perpetrate these inequalities...
So, not only is a victory gained by the enemy for the slaying committed, but it is compounded further by our very own people who turn against one another, trying to find someone to blame... anyone to blame. Anyone who isn't themselves.
I guess what I'm getting at in this sleep-deprived, meandering tirade is this... One fucked up kid wakes up one day and indescriminately kills... His ignorance as to the lives and loves of those attacked prevents him from feeling empathy for any pain but his own, allowing him to perpetrate these acts without remorse. Then, once eliminated, we the people carry that same torch of ignorance, and hurt more people still by segregating those who, like him, were to wrapped up in their own shit to see that everyone is like this. And does that help? *shakes head* Don't tell me I have to give you the answer to that.
C'mon people... Be nice to each other... Or at least declare war the old fashioned way. Seriously...
