Christmas Time

Yay for Christmas! This Christmas didn't feel as "magical" as I would have liked, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. =D

It started last night on Christmas Eve, where my family and I attended an evening vigil in lieu of going to Christmas Mass (since I would be working as a Green Army Man). We then had a nice family dinner of turkey, BBQ, and rice, LOL, and family picture time (with me and my bro in matching AE argyle).

Midnight rolled around, and the gift-giving began! I got a couple Paul McCartney DVDs for my mom, a golf shirt for my dad, Depeche Mode and U2 things for Ninang, a glass Mary and Joseph for Lola, and Life: Pirates of the Carribean Edition for Bryan. I receieved Dynasty Warriors PSP, Wario Ware Touched, Kirby Canvas Curse, a dinosaur calendar, Burnout Revenge, and an IOU for Ducktales and Rescue Rangers DVDs which didn't ship on time. =B

The scary bear made a return this Christmas, with my brother hiding it in his gift for Mom (with a Chinese shirt on that came from a wine bottle, LOL). Not one to be bamboozled, my mom (with help from me) crafted a plan of her own. She bought Bryan R. Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet," hiding it in the closet as the surprise last gift. When he opened it, a picture of scary bear was taped onto the cover of the DVD! LOL!

So gift-giving concluded, and I bided my time eating chestnuts and worrying about "Project Lola Smiles" (a project cousin Mark devised which consisted of everyone doing their own charity work and sharing it over Lola Alice's grave on Christmas, which we had all neglected to do) with my family before I headed to bed.

I awoke and went off to work, and after sitting at character 10 for a bit, Luke and I were sent to Sun Plaza as extra hosts. It was generally pretty easy, especially since I spent most of the time manning the ring toss game instead of dealing with the character crowds, LoL.

Lunch rolled around, and Luke and I retreated to the Village Haus where we had a quick lunch and joined in a game of Mario Kart DS! He got the game for Xmas, so now we could finally play a robust 2-player! XD

Pre-show came and went, and I went home to the big family party. We immediately jumped into the white elephant gift exchange, which was full of hilarity as usual. I started off getting my gift (since I was first and I wanted to make sure I got something I wanted, since I couldn't steal afterward), but after a steal I took the House: Season 1 DVD from Marsha. The hilarious twist came when Tita Shirley's Brookstone desk clock was taken, and she opened the final gift only to discover it was another Brookstone desk clock! LOL!

The party lived on after that, with many of us playing the word game VisuaEyes that Dad got from the white elephant, finally concluding with several exciting games of Bingo of all things, LOL.
