[10 years ago when DongHae was 10 years old]
“Hae?” Mrs. Lee called as she noticed that her daughter wasn’t sleeping yet.
“Yes mommy?” DongHae answered.
“Why aren’t you sleeping? It’s already 8:30 pm. You have classes tomorrow, hon.”
“I can’t sleep.” DongHae whined.
“Want me to read a story for you?”
“Sure~~~” Then Mrs. Lee got a book of Princesses.
“Mommy~ What’s that book?”
“It’s a book about Sleeping Beauty sweetie.”
“Okay~ Yey~ Here~ You can lay~”
Mrs. Lee told her daughter about the story of Sleeping Beauty. About a baby princess who had a curse on her sixteenth birthday that before the sun sets, she will prick her finger on the spindle and she shall die.
“Mommy? Will Aurora die?” DongHae asked while pointing her fingers on the book.
“You will see honey. Now where was I…”
“But then, while growing up, she later falls in love with a handsome price named, Phillip. While at the castle, Maleficent, the one who set the curse on Aurora lulled the princess straight to the storage room. Then Aurora touched the spindle and she was put into a deep sleep. The fairies put the princess into a nice, sweet chamber. The fairies told Prince Phillip that a kiss from the one she loves is the key for her to wake up again.
As Prince Phillip walks in the room where Aurora was located, he bent down ad placed a kiss on her lips causing the princess to wake up.”
*Yawn* “Mommy~~~”
“Yes, baby?”
“I’m sleepy. And it’s your fault~” Then DongHae points at her mom
“Ahhaha. Yes. I admit but you need to sleep now. You have class tomorrow.”
“Okay~ Night mommy~”
“Night, baby~”
I'd lie in bed and think about the person that I wanted to be
Then one day I realized the fairy tale life wasn't for me
As Mrs. Lee turned off the lights, DongHae began to wonder…
‘Hm. Can I have a fairy tale life just like Aurora? Hm. I’m a bit young but I’m sure I’ll fall in love with someone too… Oh well…’

DongHae is walking to school alone. She’s always an early bird despite that she sometimes sleeps late. She’s at the gate of their school.

She heard someone shout. She looked and saw RyeoWook, her best friend.
“Hae~”
“Ye, Wookie?”
“Say. I’m gonna tell you a secret. But promise to not freak out.”
“Okay. I promise” DongHae said as she puts her long, curly, brown hair into a bun.
“I have a boyfriend~”
“Whoa? Really Wookie?!”
“Yes. ^^”
“Can I meet him? That is, if you don’t mind…”
“Of course! You’re my best friend. There he is~ YeSunggie!”
DongHae noticed her best friends boyfriend when a cute boy with a creamy blond hair turned to the side.
“Ye, this is Hae~ My best friend.”
“Nice to meet you, Hae~ ^^”
“Hae, this is YeSung~”

Then they went to the bulletin board, where the list of students and their sections are listed. Since it’s in alphabetical order, they can’t see each other’s section in one look. YeSung looked first, followed by DongHae and RyeoWook.
“Okay. I really hope we’re classmates. What are your sections?” DongHae asked.
“3 Pearl Sapphire Blue” YeSung answered first.
“OMG! We’re classmates YeSunggie!” RyeoWook hugged YeSung.
“Hey! I’m your classmate too! Why can’t I join the hug?”
“This is gonna be a good year~” The three mumbled.

While I was walking to the canteen, a group of guys ran, causing me be on my knees.
“YO! WATCH WHERE YOU’RE GOING!”
“Are you okay there?” The guy with messy brown hair asked me as he helped me to get up.
“Yes. Thank you. ^^”
“By the way, you’re Lee DongHae right?”
“How did you know?” I asked him as we get in line.
“Dummy. I’m in your class. Aahahha!”
“Well, dummier, I didn’t noticed you because I was busy paying attention to the teacher~” I gave him a merong then I paid for my foods.
“Well, starting now, you must pay attention to me.” Then he paid also for his foods.

“The name’s Lee HyukJae. Call me EunHyuk if you want.” He said as we sat down.

Months passed and the teacher said that we will have a JS prom. We’re a co - education school so we will have our partners here. I wonder who will take me. The prom has a theme of Prince and Princess. And girls are required to put a mask. Probably Wookie’s gonna be with YeSung. Speaking of YeSung, I was surprised that he’s a turtle lover! He once showed me his biggest turtle which goes by the name, Ddangkoma. Sadly, he’s planning to give it away…
“Hey, Hae!” Someone banged his hand on my desk. Whew. It’s just Hyukkie.
“Yah! No need to bang your hand~ What do you want?”
“I noticed that no one’s asking you to the prom…”
“Okay, Hyukkie. I’ll go with you.” I said while smiling. Knowing that he’s just gonna ask me to the prom. Since no one’s asking me, I’ll go with him. Besides, I want to go with my best friend…
“Okay~ I’ll pick you up at 7 pm sharp. The prom’s scheduled at 7:30 pm.”
“Nope. My dad will be bringing me to the venue~ We can just meet there~” Then Hyukkie nods at me.

When DongHae arrived at her house, she called RyeoWook since they’ll both be shopping. She asked money from her mom and bid her goodbye.
“Who are you going with, Hae?”
“Hyukkie~”
“Ayiie.”
“What’s with the tone, Wookie?”
“Nothing. You like him don’t you Hae?”
“Huh? Hyukkie? No. We’re just best friends…”

DongHae bought a Sapphire Blue dress while RyeoWook bought a light Blue dress. They bought the same brand of shoes but different colors. Then they last bought the mask. They finished buying the things needed and they bid goodbye.

“Mom~ I’m not gonna be wed or something~ It’s just a prom~” DongHae whined as her mom is pampering her.

“So if you’re not that attractive, HyukJae won’t like you~” Mrs. Lee said as she put on the last foundations on DongHae’s face.
“MOM! I don’t like him. And he probably doesn’t like me either.” The last sentence came out more of like a whisper. Mrs. Lee crouched down.
“You know Hae, do you remember the stories I told you when you we’re young?” DongHae nods.
“You know it’s true love when you’re happy with the person you’re with. You always tend to smile. It’s like you’re the only persons living in this world. You’re old enough Hae. I know how you feel. Just trust yourself.”
DongHae nods for the umpteenth time. Her mom asks her to stand up because she will take a picture of her. She grabs her purse and mask and hops in the car. When they arrived at the venue, she meets RyeoWook and YeSung chatting at the drinks section.
“Wow~ You’re pretty Hae!” RyeoWook complimented.
“I second the motion.” YeSung smiled.
“Thank you guys~ Have you guys see HyukJae?”
“He’s over there. I think he’s talking to someone.” When DongHae looked around, he was talking to Krystal. The girl’s crazy for HyukJae. Then DongHae saw Krystal connect her lips to HyukJae. When HyukJae pulled away from the kiss, he saw DongHae staring at them, eyes beginning to shed tears. She ran to the back part of the ball, leaving her mask on the floor. RyeoWook and YeSung saw the whole scene.
“Hae!” HyukJae was about to run after her but Krystal had gripped on his wrists.
“Don’t tell me you’re gonna run after that bitch?!”
*SLAP
“If you want to live your life to the fullest, don’t ever say that again. Stay away from us Krystal.” Then HyukJae ran after DongHae. YeSung and RyeoWook stopped his tracks.
“I DON’T WANNA SEE MY BEST FRIEND CRYING WHEN SHE GETS HOME, GOT IT?” RyeoWook snapped.
“HyukJae, you’re my best friend also but please. I don’t wanna see Hae crying when she gets home also.” YeSung said.
“Okay guys. I’m sorry. I’ll do everything.”
HyukJae ran to the back part of the ball while carrying DongHae’s mask. He saw DongHae sitting on the chair. He approached the girl without her knowing and sat beside her. DongHae thought that it was one of his friends again.
“I TOLD YOU! I’M---” DongHae stopped her sentence when she saw HyukJae.
“Hae, I’m---”
“I don’t wanna listen to what you’re gonna say HyukJae. I can be alone for the night. You go with Krystal.”
“Hae, What you saw was not my fault! I wasn’t kissing her!” HyukJae explained.
“Why didn’t you pull away when she did that?!” DongHae shouted.

“Forget it. I made a mistake.”
“What mistake?”
“Loving you…” She whispered.
Then HyukJae hugged DongHae. “You know I’ve been waiting for you to say that…”
DongHae pulled away from the hug. “What---” She was stopped when HyukJae crashed their lips. DongHae wanted to back off but HyukJae snaked his arms around DongHae’s waist, preventing her.
“Wha-”
“I love you DongHae. Please forgive me.”
“I…”
“If you won’t forgive me, I’ll jump off this pool.” In 5 mins, DongHae wasn’t replying yet. So HyukJae stood near the pool.
“Okay! I forgive you. Now come here!”
“Not until you say you love me back.”
“HyukJae come on!”
“5, 4, 3, 2…”
“Okay! I love you!! I freaking love you Lee HyukJae!! Now come here!”

And then HyukJae’s promise to RyeoWook and YeSung was accomplished. The day ended with the two couples going home together.
