*the priestess is attempting to study, but she feels restless, somehow. Primus seems to be telling her that she's waiting for someone, or something... but is no more specific than that, no matter how much she questions him ( Read more... )

*she winces* They mean well, at least, but... I don't think they realize that you actually love him, beyond the superficial... or why you do, for that matter. You've been through emotional blackmail, how can they think he's employing the same..? *she shakes her head* If this reflects how they think he will run his side of the truce...

"Because if it's been used on me once I'd be vulnerable again. They don't understand what we have..." Scourge shakes his head firmly. "It's why he wants us kept quiet. To avoid the talk and the distractions."

*Auspex blinks at him dubiously* It sounds as though they already have their suspicions. I'm not sure if it's worth the silence, if it makes them wonder what other secrets he may be keeping. *she sighs softly*

Scourge nods, chuckling ever so slightly. "Got it in one. We can't really win either way."

*Again, she winces, voicing frustration and a feeling of hands tied, to Primus; surely something can be done for them? Cyclonus is too busy, Scourge is too fragile... she can only pray for them to hold on, for the moment. She peers at Scourge with dimmed optics* Cyclonus needs a vacation. Badly. And take you with him. Perhaps if the truce solidifies, in time..? *more sighing* I hate to watch this happen to either of you.

Scourge shifts, his shoulder and wing rubbing against the doorframe. "Course he does. But nothing short of getting tied up and thrown in the back of Astrotrain's gonna..."

The tracker pauses for a moment, trying to think less like Scourge and more like a Decepticon. A real Decepticon. A small smile flits across his face. "Of course, Ultra Magnus is co-commander of the allied forces..."

*Auspex raises a brow, attempting to supress her amusement at the idea* Surely, Ultra Magnus could hold them together for a little while... I'm not sure how they would take to that, but I don't think the world would fall apart, unless they suspected treachery.

"If we kept it under wraps I doubt anyone would doubt our story. Just say he went off on a distant mission for a week or two, and by the time he wakes up we're..." He shrugs slightly. "Someplace pretty."

*there is subtle mischief in Auspex's expression, which may or may not be an unusual sight on her face, if it's not been seen before* I'm beginning to wonder if you shouldn't seriously consider that.

"I'm seriously considering it right now." He has a faint, evil smile on his face, looking for once like he's genuinely amused instead of trying to cover his pain.

*Her optics brighten, pleased to see him exercising both his sense of humor, and the sort of craftiness that Decepticons are known for* He would forgive you, even if only for taking the initiative, I would think? I'm not one to promote irresponsibility, but sometimes... I think, if you really wanted to follow through with it, it would do much more good than harm - if he can see past the subversive act, itself, that is.

*Scourge laughs now, leaning back against the wall* That's kinda how I'm hoping he'll see it. If Magnus signs off on it, he'll be more likely to blame him than me.

*and now a lingering look towards the inside of the temple*

*a bare hint of a frown creeps into Auspex's expression* As long as it doesn't strain the truce, or cause anyone's faith in you to waver. I only wish for you to have the time to focus on each other, for once. If he would take that time, and actually trust that your people are in good hands, meanwhile... it would do so much toward easing your worries, for both of you, I think.

*she follows his gaze* Come, sit for awhile, if you wish to; if you have the time. It's good to talk with you again. *her smile is fond, if a bit poignant*

Scourge's smile matches hers as he sits down, letting his wings rest against the wall. He doesn't mind coming here to work out his issues--but Auspex is also one of the few people he can drop his shields with and sometimes he just wants to talk.

As if he was a normal person.
