Something is Here

There was something outside, trying to come in. Primula thrashed at the window but couldn't aim well enough with the chair. It finally took Smeagol's well placed elbow to smash the glass. Then he was forcing her through the window, lifting her and screaming at her to not worry about what would happen to the baby as a result of the window. Something far worse would happen if she stayed. She looked over her shoulder. The black puddle was forming itself into something. It was like what the unicorn had become, only black and slick...somehow much worse. Terrible. She scrabbled harder to get out of the window, finally falling. She seemed to tumble in space forever, curling up in order to protect her belly. The grass was cold beneath her, coated in dew. From inside, she could hear Smeagol cursing. There was a hiss, and a growl. At least she was safe...she had no sympathy for her kidnapper. Then, there was a sound in the grass beside her. The same heavy slithering they had first heard. She looked around her, then spotted the source of the sound.
It was an enormous snake, as thick as she was. She tried to scream, found she couldn't, scrambling backwards away from the dreaded thing...
Finally the scream burst from her lungs. Moments later, Smeagol was through the window, heaving her off the ground to her feet. He grabbed at the air, tearing it away. Primula screamed even harder. Where was she that a hobbit could rip the air with his hands, that oil seeped beneath doorways and became beasts and that snakes were as thick as her? She screamed as a new land revealed itself beneath the tear, and as Smeagol tossed her through it. She caught a last glimps of the snake, and of Smeagol. The wedge-shaped head crashing down on the hobbit...
Soon, darkness claimed her and she knew no more.
