Oh, well, then take the flute with you before you go, and you can charm it if you do come across one. That should buy you a few seconds to get away, at least.

Oh, honestly. Well, then, take a knife and throw it at the snake to kill it. I don't think we can spare a bridle to throw at one, unfortunately.
