My apologies for the sparkling. It seems I couldn't turn it down.

Oh, there's no need to apologize! I'm sure you couldn't help it a bit, since it happened because of a curse and all. It was just a bit ridiculous, don't you think?

I'm afraid I'm new enough here to still feel the urge to hold onto some personal accountability.

You're Rosella, aren't you?

That was one of the first lessons I learned when I arrived here, actually--the importance of being understanding and forgiving about the curses. It's an easy way to lose friends, if you don't.

I am, yes! Er, pardon my asking, but...I don't believe we've met before, have we?

With any luck I'll learn it soon.

We haven't, and I shouldn't abuse my advantage. My name is Jack Simon. Now we're even.

A friend of yours mentioned that you'd encountered that spider creature.

Well, then, I'm glad we've had the chance to meet properly, Mr. Simon! It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Oh, Rumplestiltskin? Yes, I'm afraid I did, once. And it wasn't at all pleasant, believe me.

I wouldn't dream of doubting you. I met the thing myself during the last curse.

Did you really? Were you the one that managed to get one of his legs, by any chance?

Yes, although I'm told I'm not the only one. Really, it could learn to take care of itself a little better.

It could also learn to stop attacking innocent people for no good reason, and then there wouldn't be any problem at all.

I'm kidding. I don't think it's going to learn anything at all.

I'm sorry, I'm just a bit...frustrated with it, myself. Awful thing.

Er, this may sound like a strange question, but...it didn't throw that leg at you, did it?

You don't need to apologise. I've got no love for it myself.

...No, it didn't. It ripped it off to keep after me when I tried to immobilise it.

That sounds familiar. It did the same to me when I tried to tie it with a rope. But then it threw the leg at me and knocked me down, and got that terrible smell all over me, too.

It sounds like it's well past time someone dealt with it.

I'd certainly be glad if someone did, and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one.
