Not a problem!

If you ever want to dig for recipes, I have some cookbooks from the bookstore. I'm sure there're some good pies in them that you wouldn't have had in Daventry.

Oh, I'd like that very much! I have a whole shelf of them myself, but I've read through most of those already and I could always use a new recipe or two. Or three, or even four, perhaps. And of course, I'm always open to trying new sorts of pie!

Maybe we should have a pie party. Get all the ingredients, make one of every pie we can find a recipe for.

That would be fun. I'm having something of the sort with Neil and Todd tonight, but we're not limiting it just to pies, but to anything we think we'd like to bake at all. But I'd like to try all the different pies sometime, too!

That sounds like it'll be fun. Neil and Todd seem like good kids.

How about rhubarb? Have you tried that in a pie?

They really are. They're...we've been friends for a long time now.

I don't think I've ever had rhubarb pie, no. Is it sweet?

Time with friends sounds like the best thing right now.

It's pretty sweet, yeah. It has kind of a tang to it.

I think so, too. And there's talk of chocolate milkshakes now, which makes things even better.

Then I'll have to try it someday! Do you know how to make it?

I hope you'll have a great time!

Well... I have a recipe and a vague idea how to do it, so it shouldn't be too hard.

I'm sure it'll be absolutely lovely.

Well, so long as you know the way it ought to taste when it's done, trying our hand at making it shouldn't be too difficult, no. It's much harder when one doesn't know how it's meant to come out in the end, because then there's no way of telling what you might've done right or wrong along the way.

I don't know. I've made things that I'd never tasted. Maybe they didn't turn out right, but so long as they were good, I figured it was a success.

That is true, yes. After all, turning out right simply means it's good enough for you to enjoy, doesn't it?

That's my baking philosophy!
