I saw carrot cake, fruitcake, chocolate, white, marble, red velvet, something green... pretty much everything except for lemon cake. Did you want to stock up on lemon cake for that one--who was it? The thing you said came to the City a while ago?

Adrastus, yes. And I think saving up some lemon cake might be a rather wise idea in the coming days, even if none of it fell from the sky.

It was just this time last year that the hair monster attacked. It'll be a year this month, if my count is correct.

It's weird, but I hardly even remember all of that. That was my first weekend here that that happened, I think, and there was so much to take in that the hair everywhere just seemed... normal? Not normal, but not more unusual than everything else.

Your first weekend here? Goodness, then you must be coming up on your anniversary soon, aren't you?

[OOC: Before I forget (again), is it cool with you to assume that Rudy's been sleeping in the Welcome Center the past few days? He's still homeless at the moment. :( ]

Sometime soon, yep. Or I just missed it. It doesn't feel like a year, anyway.

It never does, really, until after it goes by. It's strange, being able to think back to how things were at this time last year, and remember it all.

Does it ever make you homesick? Or peoplesick, even? I haven't been here as long as you and there're a bunch of people I miss like crazy.

Sometimes, yes. I've had to say goodbye to quite a few friends in the time I've spent here, and it never gets much easier. And of course I miss my family, too, but they manage to visit every so often, so that's not as bad as it could be, really.

Those curses're neat--the ones where family can visit, even if it's not exactly them.

Do you mind if you ask you something that might be a little weird?

Hm? No, of course not, I don't mind at all.

Thanks, Rosella. ...Do you think we see the people we knew in the City after we leave? I mean, not right after if you have some living to do, but eventually?

Oh. Er...I see. Well, I've...really never given it much thought, honestly, but I have thought a great deal about other worlds, and when I go back, I intend to do everything I can to find my way into some of them. I have promises to keep by it. So...yes, I suppose I do, simply because I can't imagine never seeing any of you again after I leave.

Well, a great deal about this City is, as you say, kind of weird. I've rather gotten used to it by now, believe me.

But you're not, er...concerned about leaving at the moment, are you?

Nope! No magical doors to heaven or wherever popped up. I'm just thinking about things.

Oh, thank goodness.

I still like to imagine that you'll all come to stay with me in Daventry once we all go home, you know. There's plenty of room in the castle and I'd just love to have you all.
