After spending the better part of a week repeating back everyone else's words as they said them to me, it's really a refreshing and welcomed change to sit down and write some of my own, instead. I...I have a guess. For what it's worth, I know she didn't mean it. To hurt us, I mean. She wouldn't have done this out of malice or spite.

I think it was part...circumstances and part curse, and it all came together in a terrible, terrible way.

She is. I've known her almost as long as I've been here, and she's never hurt me. I even went to her wedding, last fall.

It's her anniversary, this coming Tuesday. Last year her prince was here, and they were married, and she was so happy...and when he left, and she had to lose him...it's as though the City is intent on keeping them apart, and it's been so long without him, she's just been missing him and missing him all this time...

When she took my heart, she asked me if I would share her sorrow. If I would let her do it, to ensure that I would never leave her. I think that's why.

And I'm telling you this because after what happened, you have a right to know, but...I hope you'll keep it between us, just the same.
