I assume Valor is your horse?

And Gingerbread sound delicious.

He is, yes. My horse from home, even; my best friend had him brought here as a Christmas present for me, last year.

Valor is a nice name for a horse. I've ridden one myself, of course- though I don't exactly have one here ... or home.

[there's a pause, and the rustling of bird wings in the background]

Can- Can you tell me if you see a woman out when you're riding? Blond hair. Silver dress.

Do you like to ride? I'm sure there are horses in the barn that you could borrow, if you wanted to go for yourself someday.

And of course I can. Will she answer to a name?

From time to time, though more often when I have a reason to of course. But if I can really borrow one, maybe- Maybe I'll take one out to go look for her.

Her name is Yvaine. Thank you, Prin- Rosella.

Sometimes just needing to get out and ride is reason enough.

Of course, it's no trouble at all. She's...gone missing, I take it?

People seem awfully fond of that giant metal train here. More than horses, at least.

She's ... ran away? escaped? She's gone missing, yes. I'm starting to think that she doesn't want me to find her.

Ugh, that awful thing. I've heard people claim it's terribly convenient, but I can't imagine why anyone would ever want to use such a contraption. I'd sooner walk than fuss with all that.

I'm very sorry to hear that. Goodness, no wonder you're worried. If I see her, I'll certainly let you know.

We've got something similar back at my world, though it's not anywhere near Wall. And it's not as big, noisy, or fast at all- but it's still supposed to be more convenient than walking or riding.

Thank you. Apologies if- if she yells at you. It's probably best not to mention my name.

Do you really? And have you ever ridden it before, to see if it is indeed as convenient as it claims?

Oh, that's quite all right. Depending on the variety of yelling, I might just yell back a little, myself.

Not yet. I haven't had any reason to, since I doubt Yvaine would go anywhere near one. I'm still wandering around the forest, in fact...

Then you'll- you'll certainly scare away all the animals.

Oh, I see. We haven't anything like it in Daventry, but I'm perfectly content with not having one, myself.

Perhaps, but I won't yell if she doesn't start it first.
