So you had your fortune told by the mechanical gypsy too, then?

Mmhmm, I did--as a curiosity, more than anything else. I'd never seen anything like it before.

That's mostly the reason I had mine told too: it was a curiosity and a novelty.

...And how did yours turn out?

The Tower--

It was all nonsense, of course.

Oh. Really? Because mine was-- Well, perhaps you're just too much of a mystery, even for a fortune-teller, then.

There was something of that in the cards as well. The Moon card, I think, was what represented me. And I wonder if the 'deities' had a hand in this as well--I've met the Moon card before--

I had the, um...Three of Wands? I thought was pretty, anyway. But from what the reader said, it described me rather well.

And what did the reader say it meant?

Er. She said...that it stood for exploration, foresight, and leadership, and that the person represented by it is someone who knows the value of adventure in filling one's life and gaining wisdom.

You know my feelings on things like fortune-telling, but I'd still say that suited you.

[ooc: lol...T.S. Eliot's Fisher King... /obscure >>;; Sorry...]

It does. ...All of it did, actually. It was almost unsettling how accurate she was, at least with mine.

[OOC: Whee, The Wasteland?]

Yes, but there's nothing really in it. It's easy to believe these sorts of things, you know, if one wants to believe them.

[ooc: Indeed, indeed~!]

Mm. As you said, I know your feelings on things like fortune-telling. And I think you know mine, too.

[OOC: I love Eliot, but I always focused more on Prufrock and Hollow Men, myself.]

I think I do, yes.

Besides, regardless of whether or not there's anything really in it, it's what I do with the advice that matters, don't you think?
