I liked it, too! Daventry was really lovely, thank you for showing us around.

I didn't know you were planning to compete in Caspian's tournament-- archery, I presume?

I'm really so glad you had the chance to come!

Mmhmm! I used to be quite good at it, back home, but I'm afraid I've fallen a bit out of practice. So I thought I'd try to start again, and compete in the tournament while I'm at it.

Oh, thank you! I've never participated in one before; I only ever got to watch. So I'm really quite excited about trying.

I've never even had the opportunity to watch before!

I take it they don't have them where you come from, then?

Not really. They've been replaced by football games, I think.

...Football games?

Ah-- it's a team sport that's popular, where and when I'm from.

Oh, how nice! I take it "football" has something to do with a ball that you kick with your foot, then?

More or less? You actually carry or throw it, most of the time...

Really? How very odd. It's more like playing catch, then?

A little. I mean, that's part of it? You're trying to get the ball across the field to score a goal.

[ooc; it is worth knowing that i know next to NOTHING about football |D]

Oh. Well, that seems reasonable enough.

[OOC: Fortunately, neither does she. Any explanation he gives, she'll just be all, "...Oh! Sure! =D" XD]

But-- you know, teams compete, and everyone goes to watch... so in a way the idea's not that dissimilar.

It's always fun to go and cheer for someone important to you when they're competing, I think. I suppose that much never changes, whether you're jousting or throwing a ball or...eating pies, for that matter.
