so finally i'm taking the time to put everything in writing:
being back at purdue has been a mix of every emotion on the scale. being back has made me feel so good to be back but breaks my heart being away form CO people and knowing that in a matter of months Purdue will be a place i can't call home anymore. The idea of that seriously makes my heart hurt. I really can't come to terms with the idea that being here is almost over. it's so bittersweet i can't stand it.
i have my application for the spring in madrid all turned in. now i just wait to see if they take me. if they don't i have no idea what i'm going to do...besides a lot of crying. well in the optimistic spirit that i will be accpeted i expect all of you to come visit me. no excuses :-P
i've gone to visit all my classes now that i'm going to be teaching and already taught a class. i'm going on tuesday to teach the afternoon classes and plan with the other Spanish II teacher what we're going to be doing when i start there since we have to keep the same pace. i'm so excited to start teaching there, i can't even express it. i know it's going to be such an amazing experience and everyone has been so amazingly nice. i met another kid who's going to be student teaching there...in English. He was a rally nice guy, i hope i see him around there once in a while.
i went to ny from aug 31-sept 4...1527.3 miles and $200 in gas and tolls later it was totally worth it... every mile and every penny. I got to see some old friends and family, meet some new ones and hang out with some pretty cool people (that's yoooou!!) haha so yeah i'm so glad i went. i do wish, however, that i wasn't as shy and didn't get so overwhelmed when i was in rochester. i hate feeling like i havent been completely myself...
now i've been back to school and i've done like nothing. OH i did get hired at the Bath and Body works here so i can work some hours to keep me busy and also a weekend shift or two once i start student teaching. i'm so excited to keep woking there, keep my discount and also be up on all the new stuff for when i go back to the Longmont store in december.
welllll that's all, folks. i'm going to find something to occupy myself for a little bit and then i'm getting up early to work out and then who knows what for the rest of the day. i hope everyone is doing well!!
