Hi, LJ, is anyone still there? I miss you! And I'm coming with a request for recent-ish (as in the last couple of years OMG) C6D fic recs! I'd really like to get back into fandom a bit, and maybe even write something, but I'd like to read something first! So, yeah, a heartfelt request for recs from a prodigal dS/C6D fangirl. Help? <3

Hiiiii!!! *waves excitedly* Yes, dSC6D is still happening on LJ (says co-maintainer of several dsC6D comms and co-mod of dSSS). Do you want to narrow down what you want me to rec for you in C6D, or just whatever comes to my mind?

Whatever you think is good (and feel free to self-pimp!). I'm especially looking for dS stuff, but anything good. I don't like bleak endings or anything happening to Diefenbaker, but otherwise it's all good. :)

Got it! And I just thought of one other question. Recs starting from what year? (So I don't end up reccing stuff from a time when you were reading a lot of dS fic.

I guess since like 2010 or so, but I'd love some old recs, too, even if I've read them. I've forgotten a lot. Fandom sometimes is a lot like dreaming. You forget stuff quickly. :)

Still here. Mostly lurking. Still somewhat obsessing over CKR. But mostly I've fallen into the blackhole that is Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes fiction with a large helping of Cougar/Jensen (The Losers).

Yes, you should. *G* Steve Rogers is Captain America played by Chris Evans & Bucky Barnes is the Winter Soldier played by Sebastian Stan. If you haven't seen the Captain America movies, I highly recommend them. The second one, Captain America: The The Winter Soldier, is one of the best super hero movies ever made. Lots and lots of great fic (it's actually a bit overwhelming actually). Speranza is writing Steve/Bucky (great series called 4 minute window).

The Losers is a film based off a comic by the same name. The movie is lots of fun but the comic will break your heart. It's about a special forces unit who get burned by their CIA handler and set out to clear their names. It stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Clay, Idris Elba as Roque, Chris Evans as Jensen, Oscar Jaenada as Cougar (in my icon), and Columbus Short as Pooch. For a small fandom, lots of good fic.

Was 2007 a "banner year"? I found fandom and LJ in 2011, and have participated in a lot of communities here.

It kind of was for bandom. I started my first LJ in about 2002, though. Id pretty much left by 2011.
