This is what Incubus have said about TV viewership.
This is what Tool have said about TV viewership.

Note: The songs above are, as you might have noticed, not about TV per se, but about people who watch too much of it.

TV sucks. I was watching it yesterday and I realised that I spend most of my time lamenting about my lack of a TV in Pune, and then I come to Delhi and realise TV sucks. Some channels are nice, I agree. Discovery is good. Travel & Living is good. National Geographic is good. But the rest? Trash. All of them. They never show a good movie on any of the movie channels. If they do, it's very, very rarely. The news channels are becoming unspeakably stupid. They'll cover anything and everything to get viewership. The English channels show stupid soaps and reality shows. The only nice shows are the sitcoms (Seinfeld, Simpsons, perhaps Becker, Everybody Loves Raymond, um...). Seinfeld is now just reruns. Becker isn't always goos. Raymond is funny, but it's slowly losing its charm. Simpsons is still brilliant, of course, but it's at an odd time and I never get to watch it. I don't even want to talk about the Hindi channels. The cartoon channels are ok. They have some interesting shows. And Cartoon Network is finally back to English, thanks to complaints to the cable guys. The sports channels are ok, too. Just ok. They show some football and a lot of cricket. They're so obsessed with cricket they'll dig up old, ancient, archaic and obscure matches between Kenya and Bangladesh or East Timor v. Papua New Guinea, if they have nothing else to show. And at other times they show golf. Really, who wants to watch golf? Playing it might be nice, but its the most boring sport to watch. The rest of the time they're showing baseball which I don't want to understand, rugby which isn't my cup of tea, and basketball which is ok, i guess. Except, blah! When I come back after a full day of work and sit down in front of the TV, I don't want ok. I want fabulous. I want brilliant. I want so-brilliant-it'll-take-your-mind-off-work-and-help-you-relax-and-unwind. TV is for information and entertainment. The information part is fine, but I want entertainment. And TV isn't giving it to me. But it seems to entertain everyone else for some reason. I think I agree with the songs linked above.
