Just to point out that there's a version for girls too, but I don't have an image of it. This is just like the GBA SP campaign. It's not "crass" or "degrading" if both genders do it. Right?

It's still pretty immature. Much as I dont' object to staring at hot guys, there's a time and place for that. Like on the subway.

isn't it ironic, then, that in pursuit of the attention of the "mature" audience, the result is immaturity? does that say more about nintendo or about its "mature" audience? marketing or appeal?

that said, MS and Sony have done plenty tasteless ads. negative marketing is also marketing.

Hence why Sony didn't appeal to me until it recieved killer aps like FF VII and SoTN, and why I still won't give MS a second glance. I'm a little disappointed that Nintendo is (belatedly) sliding down the same marketing toilet.

Oh well. It's nothing to really get worked up about.

Yeah, I look at it from an industry objective view. My personal opinion kind of gets locked out as I consider their reasons for doing this, the overall effectiveness, etc. Then I form an article idea and tell someone to write it (oops)
