Dear
nenena gave me the letter A.
Asura: Didn't think much of him at first during the first few episodes with him in it, though I would admit that I thought he was probably a pedophile and had the hots for Maka during that final battle in the anime. Now I hardcore crackship AsuraxMaka thanks to the amazing
z_raid , whose incredibly mindblowing and awesome (As well as occasionally NSFW) art. Currently I'm working on a long-ish AsuraxMaka fic for her contest entry, and I will probably be doing the '100-themes challenge' for this ship in the future. But anyways, I like Asura's character (What little is actually displayed), and it does suck that this unique character isn't explored much more in "Soul Eater". I would kill to have Ohkubo give some actual backstory and personality to him, so I can exploit it and dish out AsuraxMaka fics~ ^^
Applejack: I don't remember much about the original Applejack from "My Little Pony" G1, taking that I was very little when I watched it, but "Friendship is Magic" gave each pony different personality traits, facial make-ups and roles that makes it an awesome cartoon. I like Applejack alot cause' we share a similar accent, plus, I like her character. She's clearly the hardworking farm pony that knows a thousand different uses for apples. She's a very, very sincere pony that's always there if you need somepony. Applejack also has character flaws, like her short temper, but that just adds to her charm. I also really like her younger sister, Applebloom.
Alexander: Love, love, LOVE his deep voice, first of all. Ancient, old, a nice baritone note AND has sinister intentions lying beneath it. I want his vocal cords. I do question what he really wanted, and I don't think he truely was evil. "Amnesia: The Dark Descent" only gave us vague hint at what his overall goal was in creating the portal and tricking Daniel. I think he is a centuries-old supernatural being that was banished from his homeworld to Earth, therefore seperating him from his 'love', which I might think is his wife. His definition of ethics, since he is from another world, are definitely different from those of Earth, which may be why he was so willing to torture and kill animals and people to get home. I guess it just didn't sit well with Daniel in the end, and that's why he went out for revenge. Being the old man that he is who enjoys doing yoga naked and glowing blue in underground chambers, clearly needed Daniel in order to obtain vitae. He does express regret when Daniel is unable to come with him into the portal because he's tainted by The Shadow, and that makes me wonder if he knew the truth of what The Shadow really wanted from Daniel. Of course, the people in the Amnesia fandom who ship slash ship him and Daniel together, but hey, there was enough implied evidence that people could work with. XD If I recall correctly, he came into Daniel's room, woke him from
a nightmare, and then said in a really seductive voice, 'Don't worry, I'll put an end to them'. Creepy man.
Astrid Hofferson: I'm right of two minds of the "How to Train your Dragon " fandom. On one hand, some of the most amazing fics and artwork stems from it, and one of the few fandoms where I prefer canon over fanon. On the other, the people in it are sometimes just plain weird. Sure, most of the fanbrats haven't found it, but there are still the OC's and self-created and colorful Night Fury's that infest it. Apart from that, I find that people portray Astrid in a variety of ways. Some are pretty accurate, according to her character from the movie, and some...not so much. Of course, the problem with the pairing is that people portray them as though the are perfect together. Astrid's gonna' have rival woman going after the 'Dragon Master', such as Ruffnut, and probably a variety of suitors from other islands. In another side of the spectrum, people go out at all costs to avoid the Hicstrid shipping bandwagon. I was reading one AU fic called 'Hitchups', where Hiccup doesn't bother going after Astrid and leaves Berk anyways. The plot from there is well-paced and the bromance was hilarious and on the spot, but once Hiccup headed back to Berk to confront the Burninator, he remet with a Bog Burglar viking known as Camicazi. Don't get me wrong, I love her character, but once it pretty much started focusing on her and Hiccup for a few chapters and lost a lot of it's bromance appeal, that's when I stopped reading it. Another thing that bothered me was that she wasn't the talktative, acrobatic Camicazi from the books. But anyways, after doing a bit of exploring in Astrid's character, I can conclude that she probably only will punch him the only few times we see her do in the movie and treated Hiccup a lot more kindly. She's a really good person, and I like her alot. ^^ Despite this, I still ship Hiccup with the psyco but sweet younger demon gun sister from "Soul Eater". XD
Alphonse Elric: The ever-lovable younger brother of the famous and fiesty Edward Elric. Poor Al is underloved, and he had so much character development and screen time in the FMA manga. I personally prefer his look in CoS, since I have a thing for men with long hair tied back. He's the virtual opposite of Ed, kind, caring, incredibly sweet and the sensitive brother, while Ed is a little demon child with a short complex and a fiery temper. I love exploring Al's character, which I recently did in one of my 'epic' fics. He's the representation of innocence that the Elric's used to have but lost when they tried to bring their mother back to life. I share with him a fierce love for strays and cats of all kinds.
