Heads up on joining the comm
Hey guys
You may remember that we had to moderate members because of spammers about 8 or so months ago. Well, it looks like there's another upswing of applications from spam accounts, many of which are considerably more sneaky in trying to appear 'human' or at least like fen so that they're not obviously bots at first glance. We're are continuing to reject any suspicious applications for membership. However, because they're being more clever, it does mean that there's a risk that we end up rejecting genuine applications, especially from new LJ accounts.
If you have tried to join the community with a newly created livejournal account and feel that you've been rejected unfairly, please PM one of the moderators (the profile of the community lists them and you can click on the little userhead next to the moderator's name to be taken to their own profile, on which there will be a 'send a message' link) and plead your case :)
Once we're sure that you're not a spammer, we will ask you to apply again and will let you through.
