The evolved bat DNA was nice, as was the view we got through the creatures eyes, although I did wonder why it completely ignored the elephants...
I assumed it was because the bat creature couldn't pick out a single target to attack. Pretty much all large predators hunt on the basis of stalking one particular animal and separating it from its herd - even for a nasty creature like that, randomly running into a herd of angry elephants would have been risky.
....although I'm not sure how the actions of those who went through the anomaly would have had such a specific effect as to make a single person disappear.
Which makes me wonder one of two things:
1. Are there actually more effects that we'll find out about at the beginning of the next series but the show decided to end by revealing the character based/emotional impact?
Or...
2. Was Claudia's disappearance nothing to do with the baby bat creatures who were in fact a bit of a red herring? I'm sure they'll be some consequences of them being n the past that will have to be sorted, but I'm starting to wonder if Helen could have had a part to play there. Is she so bitter about Nick that she'd go back and try to punish him by somehow getting rid of Claudia? There is a very tiny window of opportunity for her to have done something.
