name; Valentina Mary Tarasova / Innokentiyevna Tarasova
age; 21
dob; 07.13
zodiac; cancer
alignment; AA, PER dual citizenship

history; Valentina was born in Boston, Massachusetts the younger of a set of fraternal twins. She was, from an early age, always the more forward of the two, her brother Victor reserved while she spoke openly and frankly. She was clever, too, and always knew just how to swing the nanny to get what she wanted. Her mother, Lydia, was a fashion designer, and her father, Innokentiy, a surgeon, so they were always quite busy, although weekends were reserved strictly for family time.

Valentina was easily bored by her classes, and would skip out a lot, begging off on illnesses or just not bothering to show up. She still managed to be in the top percentile of her classes, more from her brother's constant vigilance in getting her to do her homework than anything.

She had to go to counselors a lot, because of her frequent absence, and when one particularly gifted counselor managed to figure out how bored Valentina was around average students, she placed Valentina in an advanced class, in the sixth grade. Valentina actually had people around her who saw the world on a level with her, and teachers that let her use her creativity and mind in ways she never got to when she was taking normal classes. Becoming interested in school again, she managed to get far enough ahead in school that she was able to skip eighth grade and go onto High School at 13. She took on a full courseload once in High School, graduating at sixteen. From there she only enrolled in one school, MIT, and was accepted into the Engineering program. Despite Cambridge being close to her home she ended up moving into the dorms to fully immerse herself in the culture of the school. She went home and visited her family on the weekends, not including Victor who chose to go to medical school in Florida.

Valentina received her SB and Masters of Engineering in Manufacturing from MIT, picking up a lot of valuable knowledge for her future work in the PER. She did some hacking in her free time at MIT, as most students will, and after graduating while she was in between college and finding herself a job, she "accidentally" hacked through the firewalls of a PER top secret database, looking for information on her family's past (her father having recently returned to Russia for some family emergency, she'd been curious.)

Shortly afterwards, she'd received a phonecall, asking her if she'd like to come to work in Russia, for the PER. Imagining they'd probably kill her and her family if she didn't agree, since she'd downloaded some pretty interesting stuff, she agreed, on a healthy paycheck, of course.

So she packed her bags and moved to Saint Petersburg, where she worked with a cell of technicians strengthening the security of the databases there. And then the PER started sending her to other locations, throughout their reach, to strengthen and fortify and do maintenance. It suits her just fine, although she absolutely hates flying and almost always insists on taking a boat or car when she can get away with it.
