Discussing with a co-worker, the subject of someone getting themselves dead in a pedestrian/automobile interaction in downtown Santa Ana...
"Do you see how many peoples' days they've ruined just because they couldn't grasp the concept of the crosswalk? Traffic is screwed for blocks, they've had to re-route buses... you feel bad for them because they died? Sure, they're having a bad day being dead and all, probably leaving a couple of motherless children, but look at all the chaos they caused. Sometimes, stupid hurts. Often it hurts everyone for blocks. I have to deal with all this traffic now, just to get a friggin' hamburger."
