(no subject)
i am just back online. the power was out at my house for ten minutes or so, but something tells me that this isn't going to be the last of it that i see. for those of you who are not in the know, i live very, very close to the beach on the north carolina coast. we're talking a mile. hurricane (or is it a tropical storm, now?) ophelia is right off the coast and is likely going to hit here. it's not really anything to worry about. i've been through hurricanes all my life and this is just a baby, really. the thing is that little hurricanes have been known to knock my power out for two weeks. so if no one hears from me in that long, please don't assume that i am dead. if it gets very bad, i'll get off the beach and go to my dad's school. all right. that is all. this was basically for the benefit of the five people that might really miss me.
