SEOUL'D OUT Fan Account
Since i just read a fan account on the Jaechunsu 'Smile Again' fan meeting, i thought it'd be fun to write my own account of the Sundown Festival 'Seoul'd Out' concert which i attended on saturday. Here goes^^
My friends and i reached the venue of the concert(Fort Canning Park) at around 2.40. It was pretty late as we had to walk for around 5mins uphill from the start to the end point of the queue T_T We then spent the next 1 and a half hours sitting on the concrete pavement painting our nails, gossiping, listening to songs and surfing the net(yes, there's wireless connection @ sg there!!!) Fortunately, the weather was pretty good and with the many trees for cover, the heat didn't get unbearable. At around 5pm, the queue started moving and it took us another 1 and a half hours to get into the actual concert venue.
The stage was quite big and even though we went late, we were able to get a nice view of the stage from where we were sitting on the grass. It felt like a picnic. When we went in, they were playing the 'infinitely yours, seoul' KTO adverts. I wasn't paying much attention but the crowd suddenly screamed, apparently because of Suju and DBSK in the advert. It got me all excited too, to know that there are so many cassies around =))) But for some reason a pang of sadness hit me too T_T ANYWAY, for the next hour before the concert started, they replayed and replayed the adverts and the elfs and cassies screamed again and again. It was quite amusing!!~ Like some kind of screaming competition. While waiting, my friends and i went to the food stalls and got some deokbokki!! hehe^^ A few times, the played Ring Ding Dong in between the adverts and everyone got really high and sang along. It was fun!! RRRING DING DONG, RING DING DONG ♪ ♪ ♪
Finally, at around 7.30pm, the host came onstage and the concert began with a Korean traditional dance performance. Oh, and once the concert started, everyone got onto their feet and rushed forward. I was hoping they'd remain seated but moving to the front got us closer to the stage so it was ok. Next was the drawing show which was pretty cool. Then it was B-boy's performance which i didn't really catch cause my toes were already hurting from tip toeing during the previous performances. Finally, Park Sin Hae appeared and performed her song. I've never heard that song but her voice was awesome. Then, it was MARIO's turn. His rendition of 'Kiss me through the phone' got the crowd rather high. And PSH rejoined him on stage for 'Never say goodbye' from My girl's OST. It was nice to hear it live!!! And the crowd got really high by then.
Next was Lee Ji Soo!!!! His voice!!!! -melts- Somehow, he reminds me of Shin woo from You're Beautiful. hehe. He performed quite a few songs. "Love can be hard", 'Because i'm foolish' and a few more but i don't know the titles T_T Seriously, only a live performance can do his voice justice. TOO AWESOME! My friend fell in love with him there and then!! haha!!~
After that, b-boys came out again and performed another dance. I wasn't that interested but I'll still give them some credit since they did do a few note-worthy break dancing stunts afterall^^
Then came T-max!! KIM JOON!! haha.. They performed 'Fight the bad feeling', 'Paradise'...my memory's failing me!! Oh, 'Bang Bang Boom' and this song. hhehe! Yunhwa is cute!!
His voice is really feminine!! Joon's raps were great and he had a special kind of stage presence^^ While they were performing i was busy taking pics of Yunhwa. -hides-
Next was FT ISLAND!!!!! I was so excited when they came onstage!~~ =)))))
I passed the camera back to my friend just before their performance so that i could just concentrate on watching them. haha! Honggi had his Jeremy hairstyle on. I loved Jonghoon's outfit! A pity he isn't blond anymore T_T I loved his blond look =( My friends were super excited to see Minhwan! They started off with the song for On Air's OST followed by 'I hope', 'Bing Bing Bing' and 'Cool vs Pretty'. Honggi tilted the mic towards the audience during Barae and wanted us to sing along during the Barae parts. He's really a born performer!! CHARISMA,CHARISMA!! He rocked the stage and made the crowd really high!!~
They paused for an interval after the song and Honggi started speaking in Korean, which most of the crowd couldn't understand. It was rather disappointing because i thought he would at least attempt to say something in english =( Anyway, the host translated and he talked about their fan meeting in Singapore in Jan next year. Then he continued saying a sentence in Korean which ended with 'arasol??' to which the crowd naturally responded 'Neh!!!' even though we didn't catch the front part!! haha Then they went on to the next song and he was super high throughout 'Bing Bing Bing' and kept asking us to JUMP JUMP, so cute!!! During 'Cool vs pretty', Honggi shouted ONE MORE TIME! and i screamed like mad!! hahahahah Super high! They left the stage after that song but our 'ENCORE,ENCORE' brought them back for the last song, 'Love Pain'. Honggi immediately changed to charisma-mode for that song. He sung really really well <333 Seunghyun took over the rap parts. At the end of the performance, a huge fountain of sparks suddenly popped up near where Honggi was standing and he looked pretty shocked, like he didn't expect it. It was quite dangerous as was standing really close to the sparks. They should have warned him or something -shakes head- After that, FT Island's performance was over and the Brown Eyed Girls were brought on stage.
Narsha's short hair was very eye catching and Ga In is really slim!!! The sung 'Sign' first, interval and then 'Love'. During the interval, Miryo did most of the talking. Her english is pretty good. I can easily make out what she was saying. And she spoke quite a lot, about how they were really happy and honored to be invited to perform here. And about the tough times they've been through to gain the recognition they have at the present. They sung ' You raise me up' next. Ga In, Narsha and Jea's voice was -melts- So awesome!! Didn't know they were good at ballads too. Then it was what everybody had been waiting for, 'Abracadabra'!! Their butt sway and Ga In's floor dance (?) got all the fanboys screaming! They went offstage after that and came back again to perform 'How come' for their encore. So catchy, makes you want to dance along!!
That was the ending act and we had wanted to leave then but the host came onstage and said they'd be inviting all the artistes up on stage once again, so we stayed. I caught one last look of FT and then we left =(( Once outside the venue, many people crowded around the sides of the road to look at the cars/vans coming out from inside the venue. We stayed around too and people started screaming when a blue/black sedan appeared. It passed us and i waved at it and the people inside waved back but i couldn't see who was inside T_T Its probably FT though because i heard they were going around in a sedan instead of a van^^ We left after that.
And so, i've finally completed the fan account! i spent like 3 hours on this!!! Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves at the concert!!!~ I'm hoping they'll hold more Korean festivals in the future and bring more idols over <333
