It is the season, once again, for chiles en nogada. This is essentially a chile relleno stuffed with meat, apples, peaches, and almonds, covered with a walnut cream sauce: very sweet and a little spicey. I went to my gf´s house and had some home-made ones (by her mother et al.). The nogada is a little too sweet for me, so I brought one home and had it with just a tiny bit of the sauce. Yummy! The lunch over there was good. It was with her whole family and the parents and sisters of her little sister´s boyfriend. Lots of food, drink, and fun.
Now I´m back to the books. Reading and planning.
Growing my beard so I have a mustache for 16 Sept.: Independence Day. I think it will become a tradition for me.
