Wow, thank you! I saw this on the Pittsburgh comm. I've been in overdraft since late October because they had an issue with routing numbers and UE and I'm on unemployment so I'm on a very tight budget and making minuscule payments to get caught up. I got nailed with like 6 overdraft fees in a day and haven't been able to get my head above water since.

I had the same thing happen to me while I was on unemployment... seven overdraft fees at once. I managed to get the manager to reverse all but one of them when I explained that I was on unemployment, that he could verify this if he looked at my account, and that if he didn't reverse the charges, I wouldn't have any money to buy food.

You may be committed now, but I'd recommend checking this out and passing it around:

Try to move to a reliable community bank or a credit union if you have the chance- they might actually be interested in helping you rather than making just money off of you.

Thanks for the link. First Commonwealth isn't solely local, I'm assuming, but at least in Pittsburgh they're part of the Freedom ATM Alliance (along with Dollar and all the small banks) that allows you to use another small bank's ATMs without paying the fee. So I think it would be fair to say that First Commonwealth helps to support smaller local banks at least a little, even if it technically isn't one.
