I was wondering why I'd been in such emotional numbness, and realized part of it was because The Dark Knight left me so exhausted that I'd been carrying a feeling of horrible resignation through the whole week. As much as I can talk of its effective brutality, gritty realism and analysis of the human condition, you do have to pick yourself up afterwards somehow and see something else that's a little bit more hopeful.

Recalling its major themes, the number of tightly-connected characters, and what I was trying to say with it about animal anthropomorphics through a Furry fandom lens, I'm starting to think it could be my own "Watchmen".
