I currently have five badges, and initially it was thought that the Gym Leaders would know something, but none of them seem to know anything about why we're here. People have left before, some without even obtaining a single badge. I'm starting to think this situation is out of our hands completely.

... You can't be sure though, can you? Maybe it just happens automatically when you get all eight.

It would be nice, but that's putting too much hope in something we can't quite trust yet.

So what can we trust?

So I have to trust that time back home has definitely decided to stand still?

... No thanks. I can't risk that.

So you went back to Tokyo? My Tokyo? You saw time standing still, and decided to come back?

Unless you did something like that, there's no real proof.

And you're saying that the scenario that's happened to everyone who has returned is going to skip one person's Tokyo?

Are you saying it might not?

There's no proof.

Then you're choosing to believe in the badge theory because...?

It's all there is. If it fails, then at least no one can say I didn't try.

Besides, it's not stopping me from looking at alternatives.

Then I wouldn't rule out thinking that way about home, either. People have left and returned-- I've heard it from them, so at least there's some bit of proof.

But they came back.
