[ the feed isn't the steadiest; Asuka's running, sidestepping certain jagged spikes of crystals and calling out orders to three Pokémon at once. She's also cradling a blue and pink egg in one arm and looking... frustrated. ]Does anyone know how far this is extending? I've heard this is originating from some kind of ruins, but with so many of them ( Read more... )

never a dull moment, it's not yu-gi-oh without clowns, get out da way, talk about timing

[Mitsuru's response actually begins with her own Seel sending a group of Unown flying with an Ice Shard attack. She has her gear in one hand and all three of her five Pokemon (Seel, Butterfree, and her brand new Wooper) out fighting]

I'm fine, Tenjoin. I'm taking it you're handling the chaos well yourself?

As well as I can, but I wish I could get further than a few feet every five minutes-- [ there's a brief sigh of impatience. ] Are you out on the route?

It's frustrating, isn't it? [a sigh] I am. I'm fending off these Unown creatures and attempting to clear the crystal.

If you're close enough, teaming up might get us somewhere.

How close to the ruins are you? I'm not far from them.

About a half-hour, at most. Probably less.

Then can I assume I'll see you in half and hour?

Or less.

[ True to her word, it's not more than fifteen minutes before a rainbow-colored beam of light scatters a cluster of Unown not far from Mitsuru. Asuka's moving fast with a Mime Jr. in her arms, a Teddiursa running on all four paws and swiping at the Unown that get too close, a Drifloon floating overhead, and... Prima using the crystal like ice to slide along.

... Someone's stopped holding back. ]

[Mitsuru is still battling the Unown with her three Pokemon, who are also sending them scattering with their own variety of attacks (Gust from Butterfree, Ice Shard from Seel, and Water Gun from Wooper). As soon as the burst of rainbow light catches the redhead's attention however, she turns to face it, one hand lifted to shield her eyes from the glare]

Tenjoin--! [she lifts her other hand in greeting as soon as she sees the other girl approaching]

Mitsuru! [ originally tense, Asuka's face softens with a smile and she returns the raised hand as she finally slows. ] How have you been holding up?

[Mitsuru orders her Butterfree to scatter a few more Unown, before she addresses Asuka with a smile of her own]

We've been holding up well. As much of an inconvenience as this is, it has posed a wonderful training opportunity.

Staying focused in an emergency is admirable. [ she pauses to speak Prima's name, who responds with an Icy Wind. ] Especially when a lot of people would be more inclined to panic.

Panicking does nothing to help. In a situation like this, we have no decision but to remain calm-- Penthesilea, Icy Wind!

[Her Seel joins Prima in tossing a few more Unown around with an Icy Wind attack]

These crystals... they're affecting people, too.

[ and with a nod from Asuka, Prima teams up with Penthesilea to keep the damn things at bay. ]
