Freshmen Memories
6:05PM Sorry, Luke...I'm stealing your idea.
*Meeting Catherine Hipp for the first time because we were the only two people left in our homeroom who didn't have locker partners.
*Carrying all my books around for the first semester because I couldn't work the locker( hey! shut up!)
*Being the only frosh in my senior P.E. class
*Being so relieved when Mrs. Brubaker told me I could drop it to take art instead.
*Constantly telling Mr. Hallgreen "I don't understand!"
*Sitting at the same table for lunch
*CHOIR!!! Makenzie was my folder partner!
*Being cast in "My Son is Crazy, but Promising"
*Matt Haberman being my son in that show!
*Being sick for 6 weeks, so Jessie McKinney had to take over for me.
*Bringing carnations to the cast
*Trying to apologize to Jessie McKinney
*Throwing up every 5 min. (or at least that's what it felt like)
*All those medical tests...
*Mrs. Brubaker going into insulin shock
*Being too scared to try out for the musical
*Mrs. Bush's advanced english class!
*Writing in a book for Luke after his dad died. (I'm pretty sure I wrote something off topic and stupid. I'm sorry)
*Luke making those election stickers that made some people uncomfortable (was that freshman year?)
*Sheila Haynes being really smart, but acting really dumb.
*Hanging out with Jessie DeBo, Melissa and Natalie all the time.
*When they booed us at the first assembly!
*45 minute classes(How was that even possible?)
*Having study hall twice a day?( I had to drop French when I was sick)
*Seniors not having to be on campus for study hall or lunch.
*Nicole Story
*Taking keyboarding with Ben and Matt who always stole the balls out of the mice.
*Taking Church History in the summer and driving around with Steve Pins after a field trip.
*Sitting on the blocks in between classes during summer school
*Ben just showing up for Speech class every day even though he wasn't enrolled in the class!
*Walking to Petco with Ben, buying a goldfish, then taking it to class
*Molly Shurman yelling at me for buying a goldfish
*Feeling really stupid, sitting on Luke's couch with a few others while everyone else was downstairs drinking
*Sitting on the floor, trying to keep Nate from passing out or throwing up on me
*Vowing I wouldn't put myself in that situation again.
*Random hookups
*Discovering Strongbad
*Wearing a necklace that had only one red bead...yet it bled all over my neck.
*Buying sparkly underwear with Nicole
*Courtney making a presentation about the pope, showing my favorite picture of all time : the pope dressed in all black, standing in front of a pyramid, wearing a beret and sunglasses. He was so cool!
Plus so many more. Wow, I think I have changed a lot. Well, I hope I have! Good luck to next year's freshmen! If you see my sister...book drop her. Then laugh. I'm serious.
