I seriously need to make up for my last post. It was way too... blergh. And, I'm really glad I went out with the girls and met (well, for the second time, but technicality) John. Ok. Take a deep breath because I'm going into physics analogies. And, if you want to, skip to the third paragraph for physics-free posting.

So, if I were a mass, (which I guess I am) to get me moving is just huge. I just feel antisocial sometimes and want to stay home. But, one you overcome the enormous coefficient of static friction that gets me moving, I'm good to go. My coefficient of kinetic friction is basically negligible. This is what AP physics does to you- or maybe it's just in my blood.

So yeah, tonight was really fun. We all went out for Chinese, in spite of the fact that I only like to eat Chinese when I'll be either alone or in the shower soon afterwards. You know that overwhelming Chinese food funk that you can smell from a mile away? Yeah. That's exactly what I was afraid of. But I conceded by bringing a full pack of gum which is now empty, and spritzing with Obsession for Women before I left. (Joey- I considered taking it with me, but I figured that would be just a tad overkill for me- and it wouldn't fit in my purse.) Maybe it's the getting dressed that actually gets me out of the house. I did the red and brown thing, which, by the way, was even better tonight since I recently discovered this red bead necklace accented with gold that I now waer ith my crazy gold earrings and red bra. Yes- I coordinate my bras. Don't judge.

Anyhoo, John gets very good reviews- we approve, and they have our blessing. Yay for Emily! They look positively adorable together, and Em totally deserves a great guy like he seems to be. We were kind of apprehensive before about him being completely overwhelmed, but theatre boys pull through. Bravissimo!

After they left, KTO, Em C, Nicy, and I stayed at the Dragonfly until like... actually I don't know because I don't wear a watch, but the guy was mopping as we left. Actually, I asked the guy where he got his jeans- they were really, just well done jean, so I needed to know if there was some secret source of cute guys' jeans that Joey was missing out on. Apparently, it's Europe. The guy told me that he got them in the Czech Republic (I think... my Eastern European knowledge is pretty much nonexisitent, as I'm done with global history) in some little store, but he had this accent, so that was basically all I could glean from the conversation. Ok. Rewind. After Emily and John rode off into the sunset, we had a major gabfest. Now that I think about it, I can't remember one time tonight longer than a stretch of 30 seconds where I didn't say anything. Wait, except for a staring contest with Em C... but that doesn't count. Talking is just so theraputic.

Heh- on the ride home in Nicy's dad's car, I continued my unbroken stream of words- and after it was just Nicy and me in the car, I started telling her about how I at first REALLY didn't want to go out, and about how I was feeling shitty and antisocial, and suddenly, her softspoken father pipes in, "Aileen? Antisocial?...What?" Ahhh... it made me so happy. Happy enough, in fact, to post about it.
