A lot has happened since my last post.

First things first, Greg and I took a trip to the east coast. We drove to Rochester, NY, the half way point between here and Boston, where my friend Erik lives. Erik and I met on Mackinac Island. He went back up to the island two years ago and made a stop in Ypsilanti, which was the last time I saw him. It was great to be in Rochester, to see his city, where he lives, and meet his friends. We basically just caught up at his house, went and got dinner with a few of his friends, and then chilled at his house. Friday morning Greg and I left at a decent hour to make our way to Boston. We made it to Boston, well actually Water Town, around four. We drove into Cambridge for dinner and to see the city. The next morning was the open house at Lesley University where I met with Dr. Beardall. I also got to see the dance rooms and hear a little more about the program. Overall, I was very impressed with the campus and program. After the open house Greg and I drove into Boston where we went to the Samuel Adams Brewery and took a Duck Tour of the city. Sunday morning we left Water Town and drove to Brooklyn. It rained the whole way there. Once we settled into the hotel we hopped on the train and went to a hip restaurant where they had a few vegetarian options. After we met up with Mike, who took us around Brooklyn a bit and to a bar with a bunch of old school video games. Since I had to be up early the morning for my movement interview at Pratt Greg and I ventured home pretty early, successfully managing the trains. Monday morning Greg dropped me off at Pratt for my movement interview, where I actually saw some familiar faces from the Columbia interview. The interview went really well and was more fun than anything. One section of the interview we did improv with a partner and I believe that I remember my experience with my partner, Angie, for quite some time. The two of us really clicked and it was very interesting to move like her. It was a great experience that I shared with another human being- that's the best way to explain it. After the interview Greg and I hit the road towards Michigan, stopping in New Jersey for lunch. Although the trip was technically for business Greg and I had a really great time. It was nice to just sit in the car, drive, talk, and listen to podcasts. Driving on the east coast is really gorgeous, specifically through Connecticut.

So, upon return to Ypsilanti I had a big decision to make- where to attend school? First, I crossed off Pratt since it has the most expensive tuition and Brooklyn would most likely have the highest living costs. Also, the licensing I would receive after my two years would not be reciprocal in other states, meaning I could only practice in the state of New York. That left it between Boston and Chicago, both of which I loved for various reasons. I loved the program at Lesley because it included programs in music and art therapy as well. However, Boston has very high living expenses and twelve hours away in a car. The program at Chicago, although cheaper, isn't as appealing to me as Lesley. However, its closer to home, Greg's school is super close to mine, and I could just see myself living there mores than Boston. The decision was tough but I finally decided to attend Columbia. It was hard to let go of the idea of moving to Boston and living on the east coast, but it just seems more practical to move to Chicago.

Now that I have made a decision, which is what I think Greg wanted all along, we need to get back to Chicago to find somewhere to live. I hope that this task is not as much of a pain in the ass as I think it's going to be. I think I will be more excited about moving once everything is set into place. I need to contact the director of the program so I can sign up for classes and figure out what I need to do.... help.

In other news, I am officially on-call at Eisenhower Center as of Monday the 24th. This idea really excites me. One thing I have learned about this job is that I do enjoy getting up early. At least not at 6:30 in the morning. I have already signed up to take clients to a summer camp on the 3rd of June. I am not to concerned with getting hours at Eisenhower, but it wouldn't be a bad idea. Going on-call will also allow me to work at Sidetrack more, which I enjoy better anyhow. Things at Sidetrack are, well, interesting to say the least.

I keep working out and nothing is happening. If anything, I am gaining weight. What the fuck? I need to start dancing asap.

Ange is huge now. Her due date is only a month and a half away. I can't believe I will be an aunt.

I am sure there is more to write, but I will do that later. This is enough work puke for one entry.
