I've just finished Frank MCCourt's book "Teacher Man" (author of Angela'a Ashes)
I highly reccomend it to anyone who teaches any grade or college. It's very true and anyone who has taught will understand it. Such as the bloody annoying paper bag full of unmarked papers you will eventually get to... just not tonight.
And did you know tha tteachers never have sex? That's jsut too much for a kid to handle.
And this is after I read this against the wishes of my family.
You see Frank McCourt is a previous family friend. My grandpa went to boyscouts and school with him (though he's a few years older and was more friends with Frank's older brother). According to my grandpa Frankis a dirty rotten liar who is out to make an interesting and pathetic story with angela's Ashes and it wasn't as bad as all that to those who lived through it. He aslo goes on about how Frank's family were the only one's with patent shoes in school, but who cares really.
So I read the book and i'm glad I did. Believe it or not not every teacher sees it as a calling like the one to priesthood.
