Castiel’s Army
Castiel didn’t know when it happened but he had become obsessed. It had all begun on a normal day, when he wasn’t busy trying to stop the apocalypse with the Winchester brothers.
He was walking down a street, observing his Father’s creations, watching them going through their daily tasks when in a window he saw them and he had to have them. They were on display in the window, some standing on two legs and some on four. He also observed that they came in a multitude of colors. He just had to have one! He went into the store and a young woman smiled at him.
“Hello, sir, how can I help you?” She asked.
“I want to buy one of those.” He said gesturing toward the display in the window, pointing at one on its hind legs.
“Good choice.” She told him as she took it from the display and rung it up at the register. Castiel handed her some money. “Would you like a bag?” She asked.
“No,” he replied. “I want to hold it.” She smiled as she handed it to him. It was so soft in his hands that he couldn’t help but smile slightly himself.
That had been the first, but it hadn’t been the last. Now he had over a hundred of them and he gazed at them adorably as they were arranged neatly on the floor of the motel. He was so lost in his obsession, that he didn’t hear the front door open. Didn’t see Dean walk in til it was too late.
“What the hell is this?” Dean asked gazing at them, shocked and confused.
“My little ponies.” Castiel replied cheerfully, petting the mane of the little pony that had started it all.
