Eight
This really is embarrassing. I'm sure all of you have heard about what happened at the field trip by now. I just wanted to say that especially as a prefect, I shouldn't have acted that way, especially when I found that the other students out of bed had entered the bar. It definitely won't happen again.
Though in a way, I wish that I had been drinking to lessen the embarrassment for that night, at least.

I recieved an owl from my parents today. As much as I'm glad that it wasn't a howler, did they really have to congratulate me on getting my first detention? My father actually said that he'd been getting worried about the lack of trouble I've been getting into, mentioning all the times that he'd gotten detention by my age. I mean, it's better than a lecture, but why can't they be like normal parents?
