I recieved an owl from home today. My mother had an emotional breakdown after having to deal with some rude and influential guests to the hotel. She didn't say it outright, but it's obvious that she wants me back home for a while to help run the hotel. I've told them that I can't leave because I'm a prefect.

I think this means that I'm going to have to talk to my parents about not wanting to start taking over running the hotel after I graduate. I'd hoped to decide what I wanted to do instead first, but maybe it's best not to keep this from them
