On excuses and a dog with a very specific apettite
You know, call me silly but I had assumed that certain excuses die out with old age. You would think that there are some excuses that are so well known, that their jerseys have been retired in the name of the new and bold excuse coming to the fore. However.....I would be wrong. Can I tell you dear reader, how many times I have heard some story about a dog eating homework today. It would seem that here in Duluth, GA we have a dog that randomly shows up to 4th grader's houses at night, and gorges himself on every scrap of homework available. He struck the houses of 4 of my students this weekend. So in an attempt to actually have something to grade before the school year is out, I have put a $5 reward to anyone with information that leads to the capture and prosecution of this most vicious of canines. Be aware, the suspect is considered covered in drool and flappy ears, and should be handled with extreme care.
