OOC: Character Relations Redux

Pride of Kiwi- In our hearts, we have already taken flight.

Character Relations
Iorangi John Paul Key (Screenwriter, director, artist, photographer, film reviewer)
A Kiwi from the heart of Auckland, New Zealand, he is just one of the many Kirkland progeny unearthed in the city of Liberty. A loud, congenial man, he's the type to laugh away his troubles over a pint or five and considers many folks his friends regardless of how long it's been since they've initially met. Some have even gone so far as to comment that John reminds them a bit of that uncle everyone has- you know, the bloke that gets away with all that crazy shit and still comes out of it whole enough to give you a lolly. He believes in chivalry but he can also be quite crude among the right crowd- An Intellectual but a party lover, he's living day to day in search of a more fulfilling existence..
.

Logan 'Fucking' Mortlock
Australia (Fucking MANLY MAN, Drinkin' partner, Romantic interest-???)
When John was a sprog, he traveled quite a bit- most often between America, New Zealand, England and Australia. The Land Down under was quite possibily where he spent the most time perfecting his survival training as well as gathering stories and materials on local Aboriginal tribes and everything 'Australian'. It was while lost in the Outback that John first met Logan- in the midst of a tussle with two crocs, one already down and out on the bank of a small river. After that, the fight that occurred was one of epics past, lasting long into the night until bloodied and broken, the men passed out before a victory could be claimed. John, terrified of discovering such a bliss inducing addiction, left for England the very next morning and since then, tried not to look back.

Yet, lo and behold, years later while pissing over his sorrows with several drinks in hand, a bar room brawl gave way to a startling revelation and John was, once again, reunited with his old rival. They immediately hit it- and one another- off, beating themselves senseless. Since then, John feels a rising sense of internal conflict when he sees or hears of Logan. The man reawakened something in him both wonderful and terrifying... He somewhat disproves of Logan's profession, but won't hold it against him. Likewise, he is also aware of the Koala's disapproval of him and finds great amusement with the many ways the creature tries to piss/fend/kill him off.

Thus far, John has finally admitted to himself his attraction to the muscle headed git all that wrestling, sometimes nude even, didn't really help matters, but he's not about to spill that soon. He's a fairly successful man after all and he'll not be having any scandalous affairs getting in the way of his flicks... right?

Sir Arthur Kirkland
England (Half Brother, Right Sweet-As-Bloke)
Words cannot express how John feels about his (recently discovered) sibling. If one were to try, perhaps 'choice', 'Fine', 'budgied in a basket' or even 'fuckin' nice' would suffice. Truth is, after that family dinner some nights following his arrival in Liberty, he had little hope that there could ever be a positive relation between the lot of them, let alone Arthur Kirkland. That, however, seemed to change after several chances to speak with the man revealed a highly intelligent, varied individual buried under loads of reservation and other such negative rubbish. He adores his brother and has so far decided to restrain displaying too much of this in order to avoid ruining what good terms they've got; though this does not stop him from trying to cheer the man up from time to time.

Were Arthur to call him for a favor, he would immediately agree to it regardless of how trivial or far-fetched- 'What's that? Got a sick unicorn what needs a herb from the Himalayas to get well? Sure thing, mate!'. Perhaps this stems from what appears to be part of the Kirkland mentality- please them or they'll leave you. It is with Arthur- and to an extent, Dewi and Ivan- whom he feels most comfortable in revealing what lies beneath that Cheshire grin...

'Do It Right' Dewi Ainsworth
Wales, not England (Half brother, Maestro, Fellow Sheep Enthusiast)
Another brother and just as precious to John as Arthur. These two seem to have accepted him most easily- with the addition of Miss Remy- and for that, he is extremely grateful. Dewi's a good bloke- has a head on his shoulders and a voice that can roar like the sea. He might be a bit ornery at times, much like the majority of the Kirklands, but it seems to be merely a habitual cover for a very sensitive soul. He brews a mean cuppa, at least, and John enjoys talking music and musicals with the man, flicks even if he can coax Dewi away from song for more than a few minutes. That visiting the Welshman's farm is like stepping back onto the shores of his homeland serves to further disarm John of any defensiveness he might carry around the man- as it is, there wasn't much of that to begin with. He wonders how Dewi fares with the rest of their siblings and won't dare to admit it but feels some jealousy toward the suspicion that it is far better than he ever could...He does also look quite conspicuously like David Tennant...

'Barkin' Macbeth Stewart-Kirkland
Scotland (Older half Brother, Perpetually Pissed, ???)
Oh Macbeth... John's not even sure where he would begin -or how he would begin- describing what his relation with the Scotsman is. He hesitates to pass judgement, as the only occasions he has spoken with the man was while the fellow was royally floored. Granted, those times weren't necessarily bad- and hell if John hadn't had his fair share of drinks every now and then. Thus far, he would like to imagine that Beth is a very likeable, capable man. For now, John simply hopes not to drive the poor bloke mad and refrains from instinctively treating him like he might an elder sibling.

'Pissed-off' Peter Kirkland
Sealand (Younger Half Brother, Little Bit, Roboboy)
A relationship that didn't start out too well...And hasn't gone well since. John has not given up hope that he might be able to start over again with Peter. He's ecstatic that the boy has such boundless energy and an enthusiastic love for mechanics; more so that the lad appears to have plenty of friends a fiance too, even. In that, he's done better than all of them... What to do in order to show the boy that he means no harm... is beyond his ken, currently, though he has begun to hold himself back from intruding too much and that seems to fare somewhat better than overt affection. He really wants to utilize Peter's skills in robotics for his films...

Rockin' Rhema Lee Kirkland-Tomkins
British Virgin Islands (Younger Half-sister, the other little bit, Super Girl)
Her vivacity is an automatic in to John's heart; oh he's the sort to generally love people regardless, but to trust them is another matter entirely and Rhemy just seems to exude the genuine confident aura of a person you can confide in. He doesn't know her much beyond what has been posted on the internet- sadly- but like Connor, he hopes that eventually they can meet up and speak with one another face to face.

'Corker' Conner Kirkland-O'Connor
Republic of Ireland (Half Brother, Flying Fists of Irish Fury, ???)
They've finally had the opportunity to meet one another, and John was immediately endeared to Connor's levelheaded point of view. Through the limited communication they have had via online, he's prior to then gathered that the bloke seems like a good fellow and a man who'll treat his twin with such affection can't be all that bad. At the very least, he enjoys spending time at the Winchester now and Connor's fairly easy to speak to.

'Valley Bloke' Feliks Łukasiewicz
Poland (Friend, Wardrobe consultant, Flash dresser)
This man! This wonderful, wonderful man~! Completely took John off guard with his crossdressing flair and intense love of shoes and somehow managed to co-erce the Kiwi into trying his own pair on for size. It's not a regular habit now, but having been introduced to the more feminine way of dressing, John can agree with Feliks that's it's rather freeing- and somewhat fetching despite his legs...- thus it stands to reason that of course he currently owns at least one pair of heels.

John is highly enamored with Feliks- platonically, you see- and highly enjoys the little fellow's company. They share a love of movies- in particular, horror flicks- and along with Kimi, he believes that the three of them could become quite the formidable audience. As they continue to get to know one another, Valley Bloke continues to surprise him with more and more wonderful personality quirks. Now, who couldn't like such a loveable guy, it boggles the mind...

'Cutie' Nguyen Lai Kim
Vietnam (Friend, Fellow Horror Enthusiast)
Though they've only met briefly in person for a horror movie extravaganza- they've encountered one another a few times on the internet. John's fondness for Kimmy was sort of instantaneous- after all, a fan of any sort of flick is a friend of John's.  He adores her attitude about life as she appears to be very calm and in control of what she wants and needs to do. He would like to spend more time with her and see what stories she has to offer.

'Doctor' Ivan 'Bloody' Braginski
Russia (Friend?, Bloodlust Buddy)
It is a strange the webs we often weave. John isn't quite certain what to make of his unusual kinship with the Russian man. He sees a bit of himself in Ivan and is certain that Ivan feels the same... It bothered him at first, how easily they seemed to be able to read one another...despite his laughter, the ease with which he divulged that horrible secret only to have it revealed back at him... It unerves him to this day. However, John has never been one to refuse kinship on any level and he senses that through this mutual knowledge of their shared secret, violent impulses, he might have gained a powerful ally. For this reason, he will continue seeing the Doctor on a regular basis, though the Kiwi has been increasingly itching to take the man out for a drink and possibly- A fight.

'Jammin' Jared Montour
Iroquois Nation (Friend, roomie?, ethics proff., music affectionado)
BFreakin'F, at least, potentially. It's amusing to see Jared arguing with his students online and he imagines the man would be similar in the real world, so he's looking forward to how things might work out as roommates. Can't go wrong with a man who has a good sense of music~

Emiliana Guadalupe de Leon
Mexico (acquaintance/friend, waitress, interviewee)
A lovely young woman John interviewed for a segment on 'Happiness' for NPR, the National Public Radio. She appears to be quite a kind, hardworking individual, willful and determined. Should they meet again, he wouldn't mind at all. Emiliana is, at least, a good companion for a quiet drink in a small cafe or shop.

Revamped and will be updated as events occur- If I forgot you, I'm a horrible person, Oh lord... (just prod me with a sharp stick or something. :3)
