I'm back. What did Kurosaki do this time?
[private]
That was... a waste of a trip.
I mostly avoided people, especially after a close call somewhere called Domino in an alternate Japan, where I stupidly aroused suspicions. The journey was rather pleasant, even if a lot of the dimensions seemed intent on drizzle. It's something about avoiding contact with others, I think, that makes you more in tune with yourself. (Or maybe it was being nearly eaten by bears. Probably a combination of the two.)
When I finally found a blue dot, I of course followed it. Quincies are a rare breed these days, even dead ones, it seems. To make a long story short, it... wasn't Sensei. She... First of all, she refused to believe I was a Quincy at all, which I suppose was a valid stance to take, considering I... Yeah.
I should have just left it at that, but she was the first person I'd seen in a long time, and the first other Quincy since Sensei. I found myself telling her about Kurotsuchi, about the glove, about looking for Sensei. She... was unsympathetic, to say the least. But she... she offered me some... insightful observations. First, that I had no place searching out my sensei, whom I had failed to protect in the first place, when he was finally getting his well-deserved rest. Second, if he was naive enough to believe that he had passed his knowledge and experience onto someone worthy and capable enough of using them wisely, why let him know how wrong he was? And third...
Third, she said...
Does a foolish Quincy who carelessly loses his powers really deserve to get them back again?
A rhetorical question, obviously.
So here I am. Back again. Tadaima.
