Post San Diego
So, I ended up going on Sunday and it was still quite crowded. Didn't buy terribly much, but managed to say hello to all the people I know that are there year after year--a number which is actually growing and somewhat astonishing to the friend that was with me. On the way back, when we reached the ten, there was a dead body on the road. I presume the guy was ejected from his car because he was just plopped there in the middle lane. I'm not quite sure, but his head was either cracked open or complete gone. It was the sort of thing that is so real it "looks like a movie." We made it back safely in exactly two hours. The 15 to 10 route is slower than the 5 but nowhere near as a crowded with back-from-Mexico traffic.
