[video] my headcanon about carapaces, let me show you itpricesandvaulesMarch 28 2011, 04:05:53 UTC
Droog continues watching the camera. He knows someone's there. But there's nothing he can do about it at the moment, and he wants a smoke.
He pauses in his slow shuffle. If Alex is watching closely, he might see a smallish stone building materialize out of nowhere, see Droog push away from the wall he's leaning on long enough to reach inside. Or maybe he's seeing things. Because buildings don't come out of nowhere, right?
Either way, a moment later he's pocketed his deck in favor of a box of cigarettes and a lighter. He cups the flame as he lights up, giving Alex a better view of his face. It's unlined and noseless, with a jaw that's clearly differentiated from his cheek and a hard sheen to it that might be iridescent in the right light.

Bees don't come out of people's hands either, but here we are. Enough utter illogical crap has happened in the mansion that Alex stares at the house, but doesn't assume that it must be an illusion.
He stares even more at Droog's chitinous face, his own face a mask even though no-one can see it. Between the Operator, the Jabberwock and what Sofia's told him about Delta, he has lots of reasons to believe that when someone looks like a creepy monster, it's probably because they are.
[bugger all] Now, now, I'm not judging!40410March 30 2011, 10:13:37 UTC
...Whaaaaaaaat.
Radios disguised as cards, maybe? If cameras can be wasps, then it might be possible if this guy's from a high-technology world. Hell, Susan Ivanova's from some kind of a space station.
Or the guy could just be mental. That's always a possibility.
Operation: Dangerous Dude? is in full swing. But there's only so much he can glean from observation alone. Maybe he should initiate contact with the suspect.
You know, in the most removed medium available to him.
Either way, it's usually a good idea to... not that he wants to jump to conclusions, but to see what he's up against.
He's just an observer for now.

Anyone out there? Report.
After a moment of silence--or is it radio static?--he shakes his head and tucks the cards away.

...Alex really needs to get outside more.
Hello.
Are you new here?

Here?
As far as he knows he could be somewhere in the city. Or someone could have introduced other colors to the Felt mansion. Unlikely as it seems.
