I can't help but wonder if their - the scientists - choice of people is random, or is there a reasoning behind it? Every time a new person arrives, the range of skills here broadens.

Heh! Quite an observation, I hadn't thought of that before. It struck me as odd that so many people find their friends here. The worlds we're all from aren't that small.
