How are they considered dangerous? Or, rather, for what reason am I to take your and Hughes' words over his own?

As far as taking our word for it goes, it's a bad idea to trust strangers in a place like this no matter who they are.

As for being dangerous -- long story short, they're not human. It's not a bad thing in all cases, but this time...it's pretty bad. With their chips out they'd both be more or less incapable of being killed, and since they seem to view humans as a means to getting what they want, I can't think that would be a good thing.

The Fuhrer doesn't have extremely advanced powers, as far as I know, but Selim... I'm not exactly sure what he's capable of, to be honest, but it seems like he can possess people and control them -- my brother would be able to elaborate on that.

Of course. But, to me, all of you are "strangers," and I have been similarly warned by Bradley regarding you.

As I am sure you are aware, we have a policy-one that I do not always agree with-that past crimes and actions count for nothing here. I can keep an eye on the situation, but unless they act, nothing further can be done... which leads to the question: do you think either of them are currently planning anything? Or will they act on opportunity alone?

There are people here that would vouch for me -- not just people from my world. I've worked with the police before, too, and the same goes for Lieutenant Colonel Hughes.

I wouldn't recommend doing anything against them, to be honest -- hell, at this point, I wouldn't recommend letting on any suspicion about them at all. But they need to be watched. More importantly, they need to not have their chips removed.

...I don't think they're planning anything -- not for this world. But I wouldn't put it past them to hurt someone that gets in their way.

I am not unaware, and, for the record's sake, I am far more inclined to believe you over them. However, these are still points that must be considered; I cannot simply believe anything stated at face value.

I will say that Bradley has approached me in attempt to win me over and seek out a doctor. His eagerness for both were off-putting; thus why I ask about plans. I do not know the other.

However, as stated, unless they "do" something that is against our laws, we cannot and will not take action against them... or, perhaps unfortunately, tolerate others doing so.

True.

... I see. I would recommend against letting him get it out, if at all possible. But to be honest, he doesn't concern me as much as Selim. The latter's new to the city, by the way, which is probably why you haven't heard from it.

Understood. Like I said, I wouldn't recommend taking any action anyway -- and I'm not in any position to do anything against them, either. Right now all I'd do is keep them from getting their chips out, if just because doing so would make them virtually unstoppable if they do decide to do anything.

I was not very helpful when he did approach me. However, frankly, even if a doctor does not agree, I am sure there are some with fewer morals. At that, if desperate enough, I imagine one could remove it themselves-if told where it was.

If they are truly determined, there is little we can do to prevent it.

That's true, unfortunately. But at the very least, it can be made a little tougher for them if less doctors are willing to help out.

Bradley, I have observed, does not seem eager to blow his 'cover', if that is truly what it is. That, too, may buy time.

Of course, the other possibility is that he truly does have no purpose other than regaining the ability to defend himself from monsters and the like, as he had told me.

He wasn't at home, either, and you're right, it will.

I don't think he's planning anything --either of them, really-- but...they're dangerous. And he's more than adequate with a sword, even when he's chipped I think.

Vague threats are rather difficult to deal with. At least if he were planning something, there would be that.

Yeah...I can say 'be careful' till I'm blue in the face, but there's nothing anyone can do if they don't start something.

[...]

But, while we're on the subject. I didn't count on any of these guys getting brought here, but there are a few others like them.

[switches to video for a minute, centering on a drawing of three people]

These guys...Lust, Envy and Gluttony. They're a lot less subtle than the other two. More likely to cause immediate trouble. If they ever show up -- they're trouble.

((ooc: the top panel on this page would be what he's showing you, but imagine that lust and gluttony are in the drawing too.))

...

Interesting names.

By "like them," do you imply that they are all of the same species? Surely, there must be a way to kill or incapacitate them, despite your earlier words.

That's exactly what I mean.

I said virtually unkillable -- not completely. It's possible, but difficult. I think the Colonel had to...kill one of them a few dozen times before she stayed dead.

A few dozen?

Like I said, it's difficult.

[...] I'd rather this information not get out, if you don't mind, and not just my own sake. These guys -- they're called homunculi. Created humans. They're created around an energy source called a philosopher's stone. They won't completely die until the energy in the stone runs out...so it's hard to say how many times they need to be killed before they really die.
