It's been many, many years since I did this but I guess it was a harmful obsession for several years (please don't laugh) I would scratch myself so hard with my fingernails I would make it bleed and then peel the scabs off..it was an endless cycle. I only did it through my teen years ( ... )

Hey...thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful comment.

Reading the specifics of your compulsion as a teenager was difficult for me. One of those things that involves just a few too many details to handle. Having said that, trust me, I would never laugh about this. It's serious, and such a hard habit to break.

I know I'm not the only one who struggles with this, but at times, it can feel that way. It can be very isolating - and that is how it thrives.

Thank you again for your sweet words and for letting me know that I am not alone, and for the encouragement. It means a lot.

Sorry, it truly did not occur to me that the details were too much. I should have thought about that.

It is so hard to see someone you love suffer through addiction. I know because I have been there.

Thanks for sharing your story as well. I can relate in some regards. Seeing that someone else responded with their story and you saying it was hard to read the details, I will spare my details. But I do understand.

I'm sorry you have been there, too. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

And thank you for going easy with your own details. Saying you can relate is a comfort in and of itself, and I appreciate your consideration.

You did a wonderful job of explaining the "process". It's helpful to understand. Great work. P.
