Life and such

So. I got my internship assignment. As long as they like me decently, I will be working at the Battered Women's Shelter here in Baton Rogue. I hope I can handle it. I've been praying about it. It's gonna be hard to see/hear all the horrible stories. But I get to be the person who helps them turn their lives completely around. So there's the positive note. These women would have no where to go if everyone thought "I can't do that job, it's too hard."

Seth and I had a fantastic date night last night. We watched Definitely, Maybe. It was really good.

I've recently fallen in love with Regina Spektor. She has such a unique sound, in addition to songs that actually have a point. A unique point, not just "I'm sad" or "Life is cool".

I got my very own cell phone. Leave a comment if you want the number, and I'll message it to you. We should be coming into town on the weekend of the 18th, we really wanna be there for the Batman/Ben's B-day Bash (oh, alliteration!). We're also hoping to play Exalted. It will be great.

I have been very peaceful. I'm a big fan of this. I've been working on getting back to God, where I need to be. I think there's a direct relationship. Joy I think is a better word than peaceful. I am peaceful, but at the same time I'm extradinarily happy. Just not in a laugh and grin kind of way. A quiet joy. It's great. I feel the need to share it with everyone. So all of you remeber all the good that is in your life today. And tell someone you love them. I love all of you. :)

In less deep news, I started work at Gamestop, and I like it a lot. The pay is only alright, but the work itself is fun. I'm learning a lot about video games. If I were less interested in making a profound impact on peoples lives, I'd probably just work in the video game industry. It's a lot of fun.

"But we leave sound on cause silence is harder
And no one's the killer, and no one's the martyr
The world that has made us can no longer contain us
And prophets are silent then running away cause
The consonants and vowels
The consequence of sound"
-Regina Spektor

I love that song. Makes you think about the impact your words have. What power they truly have, if we would only realize and utilize it more.

jobs, internship, music, god
